"I think in Davos we never were volunteers....we were friends from the beginning and finally I think we got a big family. So hope our big family continues growing!!"
Lenin Henriquez, IDRC Davos 2010 Volunteer
Conference volunteers will be vital to the success of our conferences. Volunteers will help to coordinate the conference by assisting with onsite registration, acting as guides and information resources for participants, staffing various offices, and performing other crucial tasks.
GRF is also offering in house volunteer opportuinities. GRF Davos volunteers help with our day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks. The completion and viability of quite a number of our projects would be in jeopardy, without Volunteer perseverance and selfless assistance.
As a Volunteer of GRF Davos, your service to the cause of reducing risks and promoting integrative disaster risk management, is invaluable. Every instance of donated time and skill adds up and allows GRF Davos to administer projects that might otherwise have to be shelved. Your involvement with GRF Davos can help with expediting existing projects and with the development of new initiatives. The support of our Volunteers is vital to our success.
Who can apply?
Volunteers must be 18 years of age to participate in the GRF Davos volunteer programme. We expect our volunteers to be 100% reliable.
Conference volunteers should be aware that conducting an event is not only a great opportunity to be part of an international conference, it also means hard work.
