16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) Cancun, Mexico

With the expiring Kyoto Protocol time is running out for a politically and legally binding commitment on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The 16th edition of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP) took place in Cancun, Mexico from November 29th to December 10th, with focus on a harmonized and solid policy framework.

GRF Davos was again represented at the conference, with Marc Stal, Climate Change expert at GRF Davos, and an exhibition booth. Marc Stal was reporting daily from the scene in Cancún. Read his reports on the conference and the outcomes here.
